Most of us long for secure, long-lasting, and fulfilling relationships. Why is it so hard sometimes then? In therapy, you can explore your emotional and personality style as it relates to your partner or others, learn essential communication techniques, and explore any blocks you may have to meeting people and sharing emotional and/or physical intimacy. Relationships have phases, transitions, and normal ups and downs, and all of this can also be explored in therapy.
Keep in mind, relationships do not only pertain to others - our significant others, our families, friends, and work associates and colleagues, but they also have to do with our own relationship to our selves. How good a friend are you to yourself? Is your relationship to your self crying out for attention?
